Overview
The Engineer (Confirmed) is responsible for producing high quality design deliverables, on time and under budget. Must be able to lead small teams and be capable of delegating work to other design team members. Should be comfortable in front of customers and be able to represent themselves as an expert in the field.
Duties
- Develop project design scope
- Perform necessary calculations
- Perform all necessary design tasks necessary to deliver a complete and thorough set of drawings and specifications
- Perform site inspections and quality reviews
- Develop technical reports
- Assist service and field installation teams with technical support
- Develop engineering proposals and estimates
Delegation of tasks
- CAD
- 3D modeling
- Document control
Standardization
- Comply with documented company standards
- Maintain consistency across deliverables
- Participate in the development and maintenance of design deliverables and tools
- Maintain awareness of codes and updates
Accountability
- Design project quality
- Design project budget
- Design project schedule
- Compliance with Clauger, customer and code standards
Responsibility
- Return submittals per schedule
- Respond to RFIs in timely fashion
Coordination
- Maintain project schedule and provide updates to project team or customer
- Participate in project meetings as required
- Maintain meeting notes, including decision and hold logs
- Coordinate with all trades to eliminate clashes
Goals
- Exceed $1M in design revenue
- Exceed 95% accuracy on design deliverables
- Exceed 95% on time deliverables
- Maintain budgeted design hours
Work Environment
Site visits to active job sites and manufacturing facilities will be required. Must comply with Clauger, OSHA, and site safety rules and PPE requirements. 20% of travel is required for this position.
Required Education, Experience, and/or Licenses
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial refrigeration
- Professional Engineer license
