Overview

The Director of Field is responsible for all aspects of the field operations.  This includes maintaining and scheduling all necessary field labor required for the company.  This role requires creating and enforcing policy, guidelines and culture.

Duties

  • Review labor estimates
  • Develop and maintain field policy manual
  • Develop and maintain field quality standards
  • Maintain labor forecast and make proactive decision to meet company needs
  • Develop and maintain field training requirements
  • Supervise trucks, tools, equipment spending
  • Perform site inspections and quality reviews

Delegation of tasks

  • On site supervision
  • Subcontractor management

Standardization

  • Comply with documented company standards
  • Maintain consistency across deliverables
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of policy and procedures
  • Maintain awareness of codes and updates

Accountability

  • Enforce site safety
  • Project labor budget
  • Project installation quality
  • Project schedule
  • Compliance with Clauger, customer and code standards
  • Maintain and enforce compliance with project closeout procedure
  • Enforcement of pump-down procedures and documentation
  • Maintain a field culture driven by customer satisfaction, quality and efficiency

Responsibility

  • Completion of required site documentation
  • Completion of EVA tracking
  • Maintain weld certification documentation
  • Maintain safety certification documentation

Coordination

  • Maintain project schedule and provide updates to project team or customer
  • Participate in project meetings as required
  • Coordinate with all trades to eliminate conflicts

Goals

  • Maintain customer satisfaction
  • Minimize rework to less than 5%
  • Exceed 95% on time deliverables
  • Maintain budgeted labor hours
  • Develop and maintain field labor policies to limit turnover and promote employee growth

Work Environment
This position is office based with 50% travel expected. Site visits to active job sites and manufacturing facilities will be required.  Must comply with Clauger, OSHA, and site safety rules and PPE requirements.

Required Education, Experience, and/or Licenses

  • 15 years+ of experience in industrial refrigeration
  • Proficient in cloud-based project management software
  • Proficient in MS Project or similar
  • OSHA 30-hour certification
